Leo's House Of Pizza
About This Spot
Stepping into Leo's House Of Pizza feels like entering a cherished local retreat—a place where the rhythm slows just enough to savor both good food and friendly greetings. Nestled along Newburyport Turnpike, this pizza spot offers a comforting, no-frills atmosphere that draws you into its easygoing charm. Here, the warm glow from the kitchen and the hum of familiar conversations blend into a backdrop that feels more like a neighborhood gathering than a hurried meal.
The pace at Leo’s is unhurried but lively, with the crackle of the pizza oven promising something freshly made and thoughtfully prepared. It’s clear this is a place where recipes are crafted with care, whether it’s a classic New York-style slice piled with green peppers and onions or a calzone melting with spinach and feta. The menu’s familiar comforts—including savory gyros and sweet pockets of baklava—invite a little curiosity alongside well-loved tastes, making each visit a quietly joyful exploration.
What stands out most, though, is the personal touch woven throughout the experience. Behind the counter, you’ll find more than just skillful hands at work; there’s a warm presence that recalls generations of tradition, the kind that sparks easy smiles and welcomes regulars by name. This genuine kindness makes Leo’s feel less like a restaurant and more like a local home where stories and meals are shared alike.

Delicious New York style pizza. I ordered a small green peppers mushrooms and onions and it was quite delectable. Leo the owner seemed to know everyone of his customers by name also very friendly establishment, highly recommended

Leo’s is a classic. We love it here! The bread is so fresh. Bacon was fresh real bacon. Everything we have tried here has been delicious and served quickly from friendly staff.

Hidden Gem. Locals know about it, but if you aren't from around here, totally worth the stop! ENJOY!

New owner I believe, definitely stepping it up. Best chicken fingers in town!

Seriously some of the best we’ve ever had! My husband and I have tried a lot of different types of pizza. But this has really topped the charts. The older gentleman, who we assume was the owner was cooking and took such pride in just our pie (I’m sure every pie) and with his Italian accent said, “ What’s good for the eyes is good for the belly.” He was polite and courteous and had integrity, which is hard to find these days. We got a large pie with 2 topping under $15! Which is also rare these days. Absolutely worth the stop and price!

The BEST Greek salad I’ve ever had. Steak tips always juicy and cooked perfectly. My only regret is not coming here sooner. The staff is friendly and the prices are good. I can definitely see why Leo’s has been around so long and loved by everyone
